BBGR's 1.6: Flatness and Thinness

  • Our 1.6 Index is available in Unor® 1.6 Spheric / Aspheric Single Vision, Evolis®, Singular® and Selective® Progressive Lenses.
  • The 1.6 Index material meets more demanding wearers' requirements for comfort and aesthetics.
  • The 1.6 products from BBGR are on average 23% thinner and 30% flatter than 1.5 Index lenses.

BBGR's 1.67: Flatness and Thinness

Index = 1.67 Abbe number = 32 Density = 1.36g/cm3 UV Cut = 380nm

  • BBGR offers you a wide range of 1.67 Index products: Progressive and Single Vision lenses.
  • Our 1.67 Index is available in Unor® 1.67 AS Aspheric Single Vision, Evolis® and Singular® Progressive Lenses.
  • Thanks to the 1.67 material and flattened aspheric design you can now offer your clientele remarkably thin and attractive lenses.
  • The BBGR 1.67 lenses are on average 15% thinner than comparable powers in 1.6 index material and up to 25% flatter thanks to aspherisation and index effect.
  • All the 1.67 lenses are beautifully finished due to the superior transparency given by the Diam's® anti-reflection coating which comes as standard.
  • The 1.67 material can be edged on a standard edging machine and drilled, polished, grooved and is tintable in RX only.

BBGR's 1.74: Ultra Flatness and Thinness

Index = 1.74 Abbe number = 33 Density = 1.46g/cm3 UV Cut = 396nm

  • BBGR is introducing 1.74 material to its range of product 1.74 material is currently the highest organic index available. It is available in Asphor® 1.74 aspheric single vision.
  • A lens made in 1.74 material will be half as thin as its standard CR39 equivalent. It will be, on average, 10% thinner than 1.7 mineral or 1.67 aspheric lenses of comparable powers.
  • The low density means that the 1.74 material is up to 3 times lighter than a mineral lens.
  • 1.74 is also the flattest lens available today making it particularly attractive for hypermetropes.
  • 1.74 will give your patients the chance to look and feel wonderful in their spectacles.
