The Novotel Hammersmith was the venue for ABDO’s 20^th Anniversary conference on September 16^th and 17^th. Over 250 dispensing opticians from all over the UK were in attendance. The delegates were treated to a rich programme of CET approved lectures and workshops. They also had the opportunity to meet a number of lens, frame, contact lens and instrument companies at the product exhibition.

For the second year running , BBGR were delighted to be a major sponsor of the event. Elaine Grisdale, BBGR’s professional relations’ officer  lectured on modern lens coatings and Dr Tony Conway, BBGR’s guest lecturer from the Salford University School of Management, spoke about Marketing the Optical Service Not Selling the Optical Product.

BBGR showcased their Singular and Evolis progressive lenses as well as their new stay clean coating, Neva. Manuela Dauner from BBGR’s sister company Rupp + Hubrach was also present to speak about their SPORTS range of lenses and the Ysis free form progressive.
