BBGR lenses are manufactured at two sites in France:
Sézanne, which produces semi-finished organic lenses
Provins, which handles prescription lens manufacture, and is in particular specialised in digital surfacing
Both sites have been certified since 1999. By adhering to strictly defined working methods and carefully checking lens production at every stage of manufacture right through to customer delivery,
ISO 9002 certification is an additional asset giving BBGR an even keener competitive edge – further increasing customer satisfaction.
BBGR also operates several high capacity laboratories in Germany, Poland, Italy, Portugal, Thailand and the Netherlands. Each one has developed an exclusive expertise in a particular field, such as glazing-mounting, remote edging or product innovation.
BBGR is able to adapt and optimise its overall workflow, spreading it between its labs, while at the same time guaranteeing delivery times, costs and locally-based contact so that, from the customer’s point of view, the service remains identical.
Provins, a laboratory specialising in cutting-edge technology
| The Provins site hosts not only one of the world’s largest prescription laboratories, with the capacity to offer complementary services such as glazing and mounting, but also a logistics centre handling 30 million lenses annually and a development team dedicated to new products.
Ongoing quality and service improvement programmes are in place, which are constantly reviewed as new technologies are introduced, such as digital surfacing. This is designed to make Provins an efficient site capable of absorbing the increasing complexity as numbers of product combinations grow, and new products are put on the market featuring every kind of material, design, tint or coating.
